Practical Nursing

Description

This 12-month, full-time post-secondary training program will prepare students to work as a highly skilled member of the healthcare team. Upon successful completion of the program and writing the national licensure exam, students will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed physician to provide nursing care.

Practical nurse training may be the first step in a career ladder concept in the nursing profession. Classes begin in July.

Interested students must submit an application, high school transcript or GED scores. Pre-entrance tests are given in March and April. Applicants are evaluated and selected on the basis of a point system which are received from a personal interview, pre-entrance test scores, high school transcript or GED scores and references.
