Computer & Networking Technology
Description
This program is designed to provide students with the skills for a high paying career as a computer service technician and/or networking technician. Your studies will include computer repair, upgrading, troubleshooting, service excellence, and critical thinking skills. Your success will be enhanced by good communication skills, basic math abilities and a sound work ethic. In addition, the successful student will need to possess above average mechanical reasoning and spatial aptitude.

Certifications and Organizations
Students in this program can prepare for industry standard certifications including Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
A+ certification means that a person possess the knowledge and skills essential to become a successful computer science technician. This certification provides industry-recognized credentials, independent of specific product or vendor knowledge.
Build leadership and team skills through our student organization. SkillsUSA is a national non-profit organization serving more than 280,000 high school and college students and professional members enrolled in training programs in trade, technical and skilleed service occupations.
College Credits
This program has cooperative agreements with OSU Institute of Technology, Grayson County College, and Murray State College which allow a student to earn a predetermined number of credit hours by completing technical training and general studies.
